Ever since I installed a C/L SB16 as my sound card, I have this (?) in my device manager saying unsupported device. What is this? It doesn't appear to affect anything, it just bothers me that it's there. The card already has three seperate devices associated with it:
1) Gameport joystick
2) SB16 sound card
3) C/L IDE controller
Other sound cards that I've used never showed this unsupported device. Thanks for the input.

Its entirely possible you have a setting on your sound card and it didn't install the drivers for it. Try reinstalling the drivers for it. If you can fiqure out what it is. It may also be another Hardware device Windows detected when the card was installed. The version of windows you have may not support this new device without a patch from Microsoft

If you didnt delete all of your previous sound devices
Win may stil have part of that in its config.
If you delete this unsupported device what happens when you reboot?

Oh yeh also forgot to mention, check your autoexec.bat and config.sys files for any remaning programs assciated with the old sound card.
