In the past, I've seen Outlook connect to Exchange and pull up the logged on users' mailbox without any configuration on the user end, regardless of which domain workstation they log in to.
I'd like to set this up on my domain, but I'm not quite sure how.
I figure that using roaming profiles would be one way, but those can be slow at logon.
Is there some other way?

yep...I'm a little fuzzy...thoug, Tantone.
Good to see you round again.
It's called a preference, or .prf file.
You place it in the root of the system32 directory....
Lemme see if I can find more to help you...
It's been a while since my Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 97/2000 days....

I think that's the way I'll need to go for this. I'm in no hurry to do it, but that looks to be the ticket. Thanks dajogejr!

Anytime...T.
As I said...I used 5.5 and 97 in the day, but...it was a simple file, like...50 or so KB, and you dropped it in the system root.
Worked like a charm!!
Can't wait to get that stuff here....:)
