scanner malfunctions

I have a Visioneer model 3100B scanner(flatbed) that suddenly gives a multible image while scanning(it seems to stop and start three times)and I get three images.

Another is I also have an HP Scanjet 5s(sheetfed) scanner that always stops, says paper jam, or pulls pages through crooked. Even causes some pages (when it works) to fold over. Note: I have done all that I know i.e. reloaded drivers and software but to know avail. Thanks Jim

Try to just run one as you may be having problems with the drivers from the other one as some equipment just dont get along together.
