I am preparing to swap my K6-2/400 for a
K6-3/450. I have updated the bios, is there anything that should be deleted in Win98 prior to the swap???

Board is an SCE SP-A586b, I have flashed the latest A6 bios supporting the K6-3. I am getting the new chip tommorow.

Check the microsoft site to make sure Win98 itself has no problem with the K6-3, but other than that, it will be fine to pop it right in.

Thank you for the reply WhoKnowsWho !!! I didn't find anything out about any bugs so I slapped it in and using it currently. Win98 registry checker kept restarting the computer. I had to reload startup files from good-old Zip rescue. Seem to be working fine.
