and make sure there is no interference devices like a subwoofer near ur monitor.. or anything that can cause electrical interference (ie. unshielded speakers)

Many monitors have their own power saving features. Accessed thru the front panel buttons and the on-screen-display menu. Could be your overlooking that?

If your interested, also try using pmtshoot.exe on the Win98 CD. Or download the newest version from here. http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q185/9/49.asp This utility tries to identify power problems.

My monitor when i'm in th e middle of something will turn off like its going into power saving mode and come back on after a couple of seconds. But my power saving deature is turned off. Does anyone have a possible solution for this.

make sure that the power management feature in the BIOS is disabled as well in the control panel. Make sure the video card and monitor cable are attached securely.

Thanks for yor input discovered it was a DMA channel conflict between my Quickcam VC and my onboard sound it also cause some icons on the desktop to show default not what they really were. Everything is A-OK now. Thanks again.
