Hi all,

OS is Windows 2000Pro

I have a 2 gig C partition (fat, primary) with only 100mb free. PM8 will not allow me to resize the partition, even though there is plenty of free space in D (7 gigs, NTFS). I thought it might be because D was NTFS, so I converted a couple gigs to fat any made a new partition (H) and thought I might then be able to add the H space into C, but no-go. The help file says that "in some instances, you may not be able to resize C if fat and it's full, because PM needs space to work". I tried disk cleanup, but only went from 50-100mb free. How much additional space does PM need to work, and where can I get it? WinnNT folder has 1.28 gigs, but I'm not sure what else I could delete on it to make room, and don't want to inadvertantly hose the system.

Is there something else I'm missing? Any other fix I could try? I need to do this ASAP (tonight!) as I won't be back here for a while. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you're missing something - FAT16 has a 2GB limitation. You have to convert it to FAT32 with PM first and then resize.

Any downside to the conversion? All Apps be OK?

Thanks
