I have just added 64mb of PC66 SDRAM to my Packard Bell Mediatrainer2 mother board. The system booted fine, but the memory test at the POST said that I had only added 16mb to my previous 32mb!I took the module back to the store, gaining a replacement, but the same thing happened again! I use 4mb for video RAM, but this shouldn't affect Win98's control panel info, or the CMOS, should it?

Try removing your 32 meg dimm, and just installing the 64 meg, see if the system sees it then, it may be just the pattern that it is inserted into the board, bank0, bank1, bank2, ect. Do you have the motherboard manual that shows the various ram options available? I had some old simms kick my rear for about a week because I did not follow the manual when I installed them and they looked like 4meg simms, and they were all 16meg http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif
