Looking at some of the prices from a computer store close to where I live.
I came across there ram and processor prices:
128 MB 6ns IBM CAS2 $245.00
Celeron 433 $148.00
Is this correct? Sounds a bit high to me.
Esp. on the Ram????????????

High, I would say "extremely high". The memory is getting very expensive --IBM is usually one of the most expensive. Celeron chips are not that pricey anymore.

IF you think that is hi, try CompUSA in about a month, oh wait, they don't even sell 128 sticks!

I don't understand how this places can stay in business selling a 433 celeron for $143.00. When you can get a celeron 400 ppga for $70.00 and that's including shipping.

Cheapest on pricewatch for branded PC100 is $178 plus shipping. Very easy to find dealers higher than your local guy.

Yeah, they have really gone haywire lately. I gave them a call and gave them a piece of my mind. They used the be the lowest retailer in the area, now they are the Highest and it makes me mad. I told the guy that his prices were getting a little to high and he just shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. I talked him down to 130 for the celeron 433 ppga. But still didn't buy it. Just left it at that.
I shall go elsewhere.
