I just need a little program that tells me a LOT about what my HD settings are so I can transfer the HD to a new computer. Any suggestions? (one that tells me size/#cyl/#heads/write precomp cylinder?/sec per cyl/logical block addressing/etc.)
TIA,
Caleb

How about the specs that are right on the HD label? Also, you may find your info at the manufacturers website.
You might also try hooking it up to a computer with a BIOS that can automatically detect the parameters. That might give you the info you're looking for. Good luck.
