Is it possible to use ATI's HDTV adapter with a non-AIW Radeon 9600 card? I'm trying to sort out if there is an additional hw/sw element to the AIW that permits use of the HDTV adapter or it will work on other non-AIW Radeon cards that have DVI out?

Thanks.

According to ATi's online shop, it works with anything 9500 and up.

I'm a little unclear on that actually.

I checked ATI's site as well (shopati.ca). Under "Accessories -> Radeon" on the left the DVI HDTV adapter is not listed. It is however listed under "Accessories->All-In-Wonder" under the title "AIW R8500, R9500, R9600, R9700, R9800 DVI HDTV Adapter". From this I would assume that ATI does not advertise on "anything 9500 and up". Where did you find this info? It's a $50 adapter so i'd like to confirm it will work before ordering.

Has anyone actually tried this on a non-AIW Radeon card?

Thanks Peter.

The adapter is listed under "Accessories-Radeon" just as well.

Besides, if you search the ATi FAQ for "HDTV", you get this:

That should settle it ;)
