I had the motherboard connections reversed. Thanks for your help. I'm able to get every thing boot now. Video, Hard drive, but I'm confused about the floppy and cdrom. I connected the floppy drive and I'm getting a solid light when I boot. Is this correct? I read somewhere that it was Ok. Also apon initial boot up the dvd-rom isn't showing. I have it connected as a slave to the hard drive. should it be showing? what do I do next? configure bios? load windows 98 boot disk? how do I load the boot disk? Thanks again

Try changing the floppy cable around and put the dvd drive on the secoundary cable.

There's no need to start a fresh post on the same topic as your original post. It just confuses the people trying to help you.

Please go back to your original post on this topic and stay on the same thread. It makes life easier for everyone and saves more than one person answering the same question twice.

(Incidentally, if you're worried about your original post slipping down the charts, don't! Every time a new message is posted on that original thread, it moves up to the top again. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif )
