Apple iBook
G3 800mhz
640MB SDRAM
30 GB HDD(broken)
MAC OS 10 Jaguar

I am getting this laptop from my bro but I need to put a new HDD in it. But I have no clue which HDD's will work in an iBook. This is what I want, will it work? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-146-205&depa=8

If not, please post some links to HDD's that will work in the iBook. Thanks

Open it and see if it is a standard ATAPI connector. If it is, any regular laptop hard drive will do.

I searched a new sites and most people are saying that5 PC and MAC notebook HDD's are the same. The iBook just needs a HDD that is no taller than 9.5mmm, and 2.5". This Seagate HDD meets all those requirements. My bro has to ship me the laptop, so as soon as it is in the mail I will order a HDD. But does anyone have any advice?

Anyone ever installed a new HDD in an Apple or PC notebook? I've got a how-to guide with pictures but first hand experience is always helpful.
