benchmark problems

I benchmark my computer with 3dMark99 Max.

My Computer:
AMD K6-2/333@350
ATI Rage IIc
VIA Chipset
Crystal cs4235/36/37 audio
bus is turned up from 66hz to 100hz
Everything is onboard.

I received a very low reading for my FPS and can't fiqure why like the first test came out to be somewhere around 1.7 FPS. The overall rateing was a 92 and 4245. I don't understand these last readings but they don't look good.
Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

I bet VIA has something to do with it!

It's why I just de-commissioned a 1M L2 cache mb.

I left out that my video has 4mb of ram and the L1 is 64k, and L2 is 512kb.. But the 3dmark99 Max benchmarking program shuts off the L2 cache for testing.
Certain games run great except for the ones like Nascar- fast graphic display is real slow.

Could the Chipset be the cause or is it something else. I would like to know since the Warrenty is over and its new.
