Im finding ants around the computer desk, and on the carpet, what will they do if they get inside the computer? I've occasionally gotten this same problem if I put something tasty in the garbage near the PC. I don't use that trash can often so it may not get emptied often enough. I would start looking for where they are getting in from and spray something in there. They leave a trail for the others to follow so finding the source or at least part of the path you can cut them off. I've even gotten rid of them using Lysoll along their path. Throws the little beggers off the scent. As far as them getting in the PC, that could be a real problem, but not a likely one. Those little suckers are conductive so on in the right spot could prove fatal, to the ant and the pc. I don't think I would get too worried though, they step pretty lightly and tend to stay away from hot dusty enclosures, depending on the breed I guess. They would also have to get into some pretty specific spots like inside the power supply to really get to where they could short something important easily. socalgal 05-31-1999, 12:34 AM Ants are conductive???
