On a new set-up using Win 98SE and everything is loaded the bottom portion of the video display the colors are off balance. This is just in the bottom corners. Red in the left and yellow/green in the right.
This doesn't happen when the monitor is connected to a different machine.
The MB is an OEM MSI nForce board with MX2 graphics using nVidia Unified drivers. The monitor is a Compaq MVS540.

Any ideas?

That's the monitor. Degauss it, and before you do so, move your speakers away from it.

Thanks Peter,
Haven't seen you on in a while.
Not that I'll understand but why does it do it with one system but not the other?

Is the monitor near a source of power? Like the PSU? or do you have speakers near it? Might try moving things around and see what happens:t Do what Peter M says too:D

Search not for sources of power as such. It's strong magnets that deflect the beam to make the image look discolored. Speakers, transformers, fridge magnets, pointing at the screen with screwdriver tips, those things.

Well this is very strange! Once again I have the monitor connected to a different comptor, still located in the same place and it is clear but when I connect to the nVidea machine the color goes bad.
Connected that nVidea machine to a different monitor and it is clear! I don't get it! could it be refresh rates?

Try moving the computer to another place, with the monitor.
