please,but please help me with this:
i have this card from Palit:gforce fx 5500 256/128 (???) and the tests results from 3dmark2003 is 1365. the results with 3dmark2001 :6400
y 've done a test with aida 32 and it said i have a 64 bits memory bus!!!!
is possible to be at 64 bits?

i've paid 100$ for this card.is better then fx 5200 ultra?

did you try other diagnostic programs? aida 32 has been discontinued and probably doesn't recognize that card properly. Try everest home:

don't get freaked out just because some diagnostic program says something that doesn't match up. it happens all the time.

From what i'm led to believe, while some FX5500's do have 128-Bit busses, the 64-Bit bus is by far the more common version. It appears to be based on the slower 64-Bit version of the FX5200, and judging by the benchmarks, is ever so slightly slower than the regular FX5200

Sorry to say, but it sounds like you spent $100 on a neutered card. I got higher 3dmark2001 scores with my old Radeon 8500.

in graphics cards you usually get what you pay for. I find the $200 to $250 price range yields a card that will be functional for 2 years. That seems to be a fair price/perfomance for me, but you decide what you want to spend.
