I'm using Win98se and my search engine seems to have been taken over by some MSN program.
I use Altavista usually. But now I can't seem to get back to it.
When I customize my search, it stays on this "search the web, your search ends here" engine. Its a poor serch engine too.
I also tried to reset default settings under "internet options"

I have run Adaware and it is clean, so does anyone have anyother suggestions ?

Thanks
GPo

Try www.google.com

It is a better search engine and offers a free toolbar if you search for google tool bar.

Heres another link you might like...http://www.infopeople.org/search/tools.html

BTW...Altavista was taken over by Yahoo. Read all about it on the second link.

You may have spyware, but in this case it is due to the fact that Alta Vista search engine is no longer in existance. It was gobbled up by Yahoo.
