X800 Pro Problem

I just installed Windows XP on a new built system and am trying to install BF 1942 for the first time...small problem though. Every time I go to play, the game crashes before loading...I see the BF logo, then a black screen and then back to windows desktop. Is this a driver issue? What can I do to fix the problem?"

Have you installed your motherboard chipset drivers and Catalysts?
