I built a system awhile back and I kinda got ripped off for the monitor, which was supposed to show up in 10 days put it did, not so I used my old monitor. I noticed that at the bottom ¼ of the monitor that their was to much red. I thought that it might have been the monitor because it was old. New monitor same thing. Hooked new monitor up to old system OK.

I called ATI and they sent another card, which does the same thing. I flashed the bios on the MB and installed all of the latest drivers for the card and the monitor. It happens at all display levels. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

I found the problem. You have to forgive me I am not all that up on these things. I had the monitor sitting on top of a Altec Lansing Subwoofer. After reading in the video and monitor area I tried removing the sub and it worked. This is a good place and I like to thank everyone for the learnings. Have a good Hoiday.

That is a problem alright. You used to be able to cause permanent damage (or funny colors) to a monitor like that. It takes a degausing coil to set things right again. Most modern monitors degause themselves at power on, and/or include a button for you to do it when you desire. The problem is caused by having the monitor too close to a magnet. Gotta watch speaker placement and monitors.
