To anyone who had/has this card (the FX 5700 Ultra) I'm just wondering what you had/have your clock speeds at.
I started o/c'ing mine again last night and I'm up to 535MHz core and 1.0GHz memory, but I think I may have saw some artifacts at that last speed I tested, I was falling asleep so I'm not even sure... I guess its not the best thing to do when you're practically falling asleep in your chair lol.
I'll go home and run it again to make sure then continue once I get outta here (work), but until then I was just wondering what everyone else is at who o/c'ed this card. Thanks you! :)

I don't have a 5700U, but I've Oc'ed NVidia cards before. What are you using to OC? Coolbits? Rivatuner? Powerstrip?
What drivers are you running? I've found slight differences in OC stability depending on the driver family.
I usually use Coolbits and use the auto test for optimal speed. Coolbits 1.0 wasn't that accurate, but Coolbits 2.0 seems pretty close.

I have the latest drivers installed... I'm just using the O/C settings that are under the regular video card settings/properties... which is CoolBits I'm guessing. I did the auto setting thinggy and then started moving up from there...

coolbits 2.0, right? Coolbits 1.0 was more for detonators, which explains the inaccurate auto test. Coolbits 2.0 was just about spot on with the 2 6800GTs I've Oc'ed so far.
I do the same thing, but I find that I have to back down due to artifacting or freezing.

Thanks Midknyte, I just got home so I'm going to finish it off now, I'll let you know what I was able to get it up to :)

Okay, done. The best I could get it:
Core - 540MHz
Memory - 1.02GHz
4853 3DMarks (2003)
This whole system needs to be upgraded... I always wanted to try water cooling anyways :) I think I'm gonna start getting ready for some upgrades... I'll start with the case! Haha.

I top mine out at 548MHz/1.05GHz. No artifacts, using Coolbits 1. Haven't been able to try out Coolbits 2. RMA'd my motherboard 3 weeks ago, waiting on its return. Should be here thursday.

I get artifacts at:
Core - 545MHz
Memory - 1.03GHz
:(:(:(

That was the highest it would go. Never got artifacts at any faster settings, the settings always reset whenever I would reboot my computer.
Oh well, its fast enough for me.:D

For those of you who have already O/Ced your FX 5700 Ultra's, how much are you able to o/c without adding more cooling hardware onto it? I bought a fan to sit below my card (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=35-888-602&depa=0) and help keep it cooler. With just this setup, how high do you think I could o/c my card?
