1. Change the Autorun value in the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom

To disable the Autorun feature, change the Autorun value to 0. To enable the Autorun feature, change the Autorun value to 1.

2. Restart the computer.

I didn't think he's asking about NT, so I replied with the following under his other double post.

"In Device Manager double click the CD-Rom. Under the settings tab place a checkmark to enable auto insertion notification."

"If you have TweakUI installed, from the Windows CD, that lets you choose Autorun for either audio or data. Or both."

(nt)= no text. At first I was going to give the same registry edit for NT too.
