Hi! I am a huppy owner of an Abit BX6 Rev.2 MotherBoard and i only have one question I would like from you to answer me.
Iam using Windows 98 second edition in my Pentium iii 450 Mhz with a quantum 10,2 GB EX H.D.D.!
Does windows have the hard disk controllers for Ultra DMA/33 by default or do I have to install them from the CD that came with the motherboard?
Thank you very much for your time!

There's no need to use the drivers on the CD-Rom. Windows installs Intel's busmaster drivers. You can check in Device Manager.

If you have doubts, download HDTach. http://www.tcdlabs.com/ Verify the burst transfer rate, avg. 25MB-28MB. and the percentage of CPU utilization should be very low, 2-4 percent.

You can try the XStore(?) software. You'll have to remove the Intel drivers first tho'.
