On XP Pro, how do i edit the group policies for a certain group?
I have a group called "Family" that i want to restrict to not let them change settings etc
In Local Security Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates, there are lots of settings i would like to set for a specific group, but i cannot work out how to make them affect only 1 group.

Plz help :D

you must use active directory for group policies. you're talking about local policies applied to groups. you would have to assign each policy to the group, which can be very tedious.

why don't you make those users limited users instead of administrators?

which method do you mean? like I said group policies must be on an active directory domain. they are applied when the users log into the domain. That's what "Group Policies" are to Win2k/2k3. Here's a good read on Group Policies:

non administrator accounts are automatically restricted to certain abilities. only admins can install remove hardware. power users can install some software, but some require admin rights.

l remembered the Jv16 power tools app which may be of use.

There is an access control utility that may help. Check it out.
