I have a gigabyte super 7 m/b, ga-586sg100 rev 1.15 and a apollo riva tnt 16 Mb agp card. (k62 300)100Mz.
I can't see any where in the cmos or bios settings where to change the ratio,I am getting system hangs in 3D. I am advised that this may cure the hanging of my system.

Looked at the motherboard and doesn't appear to be any jumpers or dip switches which will do this.
Video card has pins for jumpers but nothing in manual as to what they do and nothing on web site.

Can anyone advise?

If the option isn't found in your Bios (or a hardware jumper setting,) it doesn't exist. Your out of luck.

It wouldn't be on the videocard.

When the option does exist, the AGP clock ratio is usually changed from 2/3 to 1:1. Which in your case, if you were looking to slow it down, it wouldn't help.

The AGP bus runs at 66MHz.

At 2/3, on a 100MHz bus, the AGP speed is formulated by dividing the bus speed (100MHz) by 3, then, multipling it by 2. Giving us 66MHz.

At 1:1 on a 66MHz bus, the AGP speed would be the correct 66MHz.

You may have a different problem here. Other than that of the AGP ratio.
