Saving Lexmark inkjet cartridge

I have a Lexmark 3200 printer with a 6 month old color cartridge. The cartridge is nearly full, quite expensive and will not print any shade of red. The cleaning utility with the printer software has proved no help. Anyone know of any solvents or cleaners that might help?
