Ok, I am new at this, but I have a desktop at work and a laptop I use for work at home. I do mainly word documents, and so I want to bring my laptop to work and be able to network the two computers to share these files. Ideally, I'd like to have a "My Folders" folder that I can drag, copy, etc easily and quickly to make my files saved to both computers. Both computers are top of the line with plenty of connections (firewire, USB etc) thanks to the company money, so what are my options.. I just want to know what to run out and buy and set up quickly and easily. I know I can get a USB "key" of about 250 Megs and swap that way, but regardless I want to network the two computers. Is it a simple USB to USB wire (with a software disc) or a wireless system? Thanks!! -Z

All you need is two network adapters and a crossover cable. You then use My Briefcase to synchronize the two PCs.

Most work PCs are already networked, so that will complicate things. In this case, use a USB file-sharing device:

The cheaper one is fine.

You cannot use a standard USB cable to connect two PCs.Try that and you will see sparks/smoke.
