Now that intel has the new Socket T, will they stop production of the 478? Some time back we head that intel will bring out p4 with FSB higher than 800 mhz, can the current socket T boards support this?

So will the newer p4s with 1066FSB be able to run with the current line of motherboards and chipsets? like the 915 or the 865 and 875P?? Thanks again :t Midknyte 07-22-2004, 06:49 AM nope. you would need the new 9xx chipset once the 1066 comes out. some of the 915s and 925s might support the 1066 "unofficially". stalkersoftware 07-24-2004, 01:18 AM Thanks a lot! My friend wanted to upgrade to a socket T. I asked him to wait until the new P4s came out. Thanks again :t SysOpt.com
