I am getting ready to put a second hard drive in one of my PCs. I am confused about ATA. This appears to be an improvement over UDMA. The question is: can I run a UDMA drive on the primary and ATA on the secondary. Will they play nice together or be confused?

ATA is the older standard, equivalent to DMA. Ultra ATA is the same as Ultra DMA.

Hope this clears some marketing confusion for you!
