Midknyte 07-20-2004, 03:59 PM dunno about reviews, but you can try the free stuff first. those should be the best bang for the buck. ;) http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html G 07-20-2004, 04:44 PM I use: iRecover (shareware but upgrades free thereafter) within Windows at www.diydatarecovery.nl DiskPatch (shareware but upgrades free thereafter) pre-Windows at www.diydatarecovery.nl This program can save the MBR etc and recover partitions etc. I beta test for them and wrote the iRecover manual and Help File. BobPar 07-20-2004, 08:15 PM Thanks for the replies, What I want is the most robust software that can recovey both FAT and NTFS file systems. Thanks G, I see the iRecover will do all three. Does the technician license include the HD Workbench and CHK-Mate? Baddog 07-20-2004, 08:59 PM GetDataBack has not failed me. Also has a plugin for Bart's PEBuilder.:t Johnny Fist 07-20-2004, 09:25 PM I second the motion for GetDataBack. I used it once on my MediaPC when my harddrive failed and recovered around 40 DivX movies. intimidator 07-20-2004, 11:19 PM I use R-Studio all the time. It has never failed me. It has saved my **** numerous times when I've accidentally formatted peoples drives. http://www.data-recovery-software.net/ G 07-21-2004, 06:52 AM No, the technicians licence covers iRecover only. However, if you email Joep and Tom and ask them for a discount for each product or a discount for a bulk purchase, e.g., iRecover, HD Workbench etc, they may sell you a technicians licence for the standard price of each piece of software if you are a student or of limited financial means. Say, that G recommended you and that G suggested approaching them about a discount. I am sure you they will sort something out for you. SysOpt.com
