remote desktop connection to termincal server

any ideas why one machine will not connect to a terminal server when running ms remote desktop client.? It gives an error stating remote desktop disconnected. 3 reasons why it may not connect. 1. remote computer does not allow connections other computers can connect 2. maximum connections reached (not the case) 3. network errors (its on the same switch as the other machines. I've even changed ports

the machine can see the internet fine, uses the same gateway as the others.
