As I'm running some fast hard drives and quite a few cards in my full tower case I was wondering is it better to have my "case" fan inhaling or extracting?
Thanks

Thanks davew 05-18-1999, 10:02 PM You should check fan in rear of computer, make sure it is blowing out. Some manufactuers are so stupid and have fan pulling in air that blows over power supply and actually heats interior up!!!!! If it blowing air out in rear then put case fan in to pull air in, but don't put it near power supply! kwai 05-18-1999, 11:20 PM what he said. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif just make sure there is a good strong crossflow and that no pair of case fans are "recycling" air between them. i would really recommend one fan in the lower front pulling air in, and one fan in the back pushing out air in combination with the power supply fan. expect your noise level to go up a little bit though. plug: check out this slot fan. it moves way more air than a regular fan and its quiet too. got one ea for my computers. http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/ SysOpt.com
