What is going to be the minimum requirements of a computer to play Doom 3:confused:

I found it here>>>>>http://www.doom3portal.com/info/systemreq.php
From September's PC Gamer issue, they have the system requirements as:

Minimum:
P4 1.5Ghz CPU (or equivalent).
384MB of RAM.
64MB graphics card.

Lowest supported GPU is a Geforce 4 MX (worse than Geforce 3).
Supported cards:
GF 4 MX.
GF 3.
GF 4.
GF FX (and higher).
Radeon 8500s, 9000s and higher.

They themselves recommend:
2Ghz CPU.
512MB RAM.
Radeon 9800.
5-channel sound card and speakers.

Thats not bad at all for most ppl considering I built my computer nearly 1.5 years ago and my stats are higher than their recommended settings.

This game is mine. I will save my evaluation for AFTER I play the game, but I can say the graphic's look revolutionary, none less expected from ID.

ok ok ill admit it, I played the leak (couldnt resist) and it was A W S O M E.

Nice trailer....I guess that will satisfy somewhat those critics who want to know if this game delivers....All I can say is just Awesome Awesome....

Just about the best graphics I have seen...not ot mention looks to scare the jeezits out of alot of people.

Just when we all thoght that a game like FarCry was good graphicly ect......we get this..

This will most certainly be a very good vehicle to test those new graphic cards some of you have gotten already.

Thanks for the site info.....:D

FarCry was a nice breath of fresh air, graphic's wise. This game certianly has the best graphic's to date and look's (graphic wise) better than Half Life 2.

Graphic's aside, I hope this will be a heart wrenching, scare me out of my seat game, which I havent experienced in a loooooong time.

Though Half Life (the first one) had an excellent story and no game has riveled it since (IMO system shock 2 was even better though), so we shall see if this (single player) is as good as the developer's tout it to be.

I may have to shoo my fiance off to shut her game up (Lineage2) while I play this, specifically at night to add to the effect.

So, the first week of August for EB. (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/223988.asp) With a pewter Pinky Demon figurine for pre-orders, even. Nice touch.

Just could not help notice the strong parallels between Doom2, HL, and possibly this beast. It seems that HL provided the prequel scenario to D2: whereas D2 had the character deal purely with the fallout, HL2 detailed how the cross-dimensional rip was induced by a physics experiment. Throw in the conspiracy character ("The Administrator") and HL2 took on a life of its own. I suspect D3 may try to bring it all together, maybe with less of the conspiracy angle, but then again...

That's really what I'm looking forward to, the evolution (if any) of the story line. IMO, the story's the meat, the graphics comprise the gravy.

Eye candy can get real monotonous after awhile and yes..I total concur that a story line is what drives me most of the time..or at least having a basis for a mission or missions...

FarCry was fun and did an excellent job at this..as it was fun to move forth as the story compiled and the misions or enemies involved got more fierce or more of.....

I think HL2 will have a storyline of a nature( unknown) like the first..only a continuation of the character up to date in time.

What Doom 3 will have is an unknown as to if it will have any type of storyline or just levels of the same with more badness thrown in.....interesting developements and watchdogging.

Storyline, whats that:p I just like running around blasting things.:D
Only game I have really ever finished was the first Max Payne. All others, if it moves waste it.
