Guys

At last my area will be ugraded to broaband next week and I am looking to sign up for a broadband ISP. Whats the best deal available in the UK at present.?

I was looking at BT and there 1Mb connection...but they have put a 30Gb per month on this. What I am really trying to find out...if you download a lotta stuff (say 5 hours a day)...do online gaming and brows websites for a couploe of hours every day then is 30GB really enough in a month.?????Any thoughts.

Can anyone who has a similar 512 or 1Mb connection and uses and downloads a lot...give me an idea on how much data they use a month.

Cheers

I use Plusnets 1Mb service. Good price and reliability is excellent (so far). I'm not sure how much data I shift, I download and online game a fair bit and they do not impose restrictions, though who knows what the future holds and that may be true for all ISPs as they try to make a profit. I used BT for a while and while the service was also good, the price structure is slower to change and always seems to be higher than the competition with no benefits. I also tried Pipex but customer support proved ineffective and slow.

Try searching for broadband reviews to give you an idea of customer feedback ratings e.g.
