Cyan 07-12-2004, 07:29 PM It works usually in two ways (one or the other) The first, used by Cisco routers, is a built in Mac Address, which you can change through the routers console. The more likely question you are asking is the other type. I comes from the computer on which you choose to clone the mac address from. For example, on my old linksys "router" when I cloned the mac address (hitting the clone button) it would change to the mac address to the installed network card in whatever computer I was hitting the clone button on. But that's cloning, some routers work by choosing the first (without cloning necissarily) mac address it comes accross on the network. sbob420 07-12-2004, 07:39 PM Cool thanks SysOpt.com
