? 3 1/2 hrs to install ut2003 game

i have win xp pro 2.80 cpu hdd 120 99 percent free mb via p4pb400-fl 3 1/2 hrs to install ut2003 from cd . is there something wrong with this? . when i try to open a download off the internet i get a reply: file transfer error.bad crc can you help please thx earl:confused:

If this is a copy of the game then its a bad copy, take note though we don't help with copies. D/l the hdd manuf diag tool from elsewhere and see what it reports on your hdd or ribbon on hard drive may not be properly attached.

If it says its okay then you may need to reinstall the OS since you have more than one problem.

Have you run an updated av scan or checked for spyware corrupting your OS.

Is this a factory CD? Can you install any other legitimate programs on cd's? You need to give more information. If it is a copy then rangeral answered you already.

dosent CRC stands for cyclic redundancy check?... Without getting too technical, it appears that the modem/Nic that you are using does not have effective error-correction capabilities, and is "dropping" or missing data. This error message is usually seen when you have installed or are using an inexpensive "SoftModem" or "WinModem". so maybe its not the game, try clicking on start then run typ in cmd in the dos box typ chkdsk /f then say yes to check on start up and reboot right away,, see if that helps.
