I am sure alot of people have this game by now or have had for some time and since i just got it about four days ago...of course I have been playing it alot ( along with some other games i have ), and wanted to discuss some positives and my personal insights about this very popular game.

The game COD has of course gotten alot of rave reviews for the most part. Beings that I am a fairly openminded critic and fussy about just what I like in shooter type games or first person shooters as a whole I just wanted to take some time and spell out what i liked about the game so far. ( I am on the last few levels now if not very close to being done with single player)

My list of positives include:

General gameplay is very good and close to perfection for the way the game engine works. Absolutely flawless with no major quirks whatsoever....Nice!

Great choice of weapons; Auto pick up of weapons and ammo is nice along wiht the switch weapon feature. There is no shortage of ammo or weapons..and its nearly impossible to run out of ammo anywhere.

PLENTY of Health and thats an understatement..its everywhere
( I think they overdid this a bit )

Quicksaves at any point in game with no limit to...( these work excellent also )

One of the stronger points of the game which you never see often enough is thart in this game your fellow soldiers really help out . You are not left alone to kill everybody all of the time. This is very nice and helps the realism a great deal

Enemies actually go down with one shot or many depending on your skill...( I hate when you have to use a full clip to kill somebody and they just stand there) these guys get wounded and then killed alot..again more realistic

Graphics are pretty top notch and quite good. I like the full battlescenes

I found it real hard to come up with many faults in the game, but have just a couple of minor ones. Heres my list:

This game is not very hard compared to others..and that is either good or bad, depending upon ones viewpoint

While gamelength seems to be an issue for most people and can see why they might seem disappointed with the shortness of the levels...but my take is while over quick..the quality is there and done quite well. This is not an issue with me

Alot or you have a love relationhip with the Mutiplayer and I played it some last night...and it is good..but for me the fast random shootem up with no actual teamplay got boring to me pretty quick....but thats me.
I want larger maps with a real misson for teamplay....some objective (haven't played that one yet )

Note: The hardest level os far was holding the bridge level ( I have not seen so many germans in a level before anywhere with the excepton of MOH Breakthrough. This was very tough to get through..

Thats it. Whew!

Your thoughts??

1st THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!
2nd Too much health??? have you played the game on vetern yet?? this is no health none anywhere in the game and you can only take like 3 shots beofre you are dead. give it a try makes the game a hellava lot harder.

I have to agree that the bridge level is pretty hard but there are harder out there still too i would tell ya but dont want to spoil the game for ya.

sbob420..I finished the game last night and it was an awesome game. I have to agree with some reviews I read at Amazon as the Russian Campaigns were the most fun ...some real nice scenes and gameplay.

I will probably take your advice on trying to play as veteran level.

As long as you can save games still... it should OK.

The add-on for this is coming this fall 2004 and it looks awesome also.

On an additonal note: I really liked the tanks in the russian campaign. they drove so nice and wished there was more of this somewhere. I am god! breezed through those two levels.

Have you played MOH Breakthrough yet? it is my opinion that this game is second only to Allied Assualt and much better than the press it received. gags and gags of germans on some upper levels of play....very intense to say the least.

yeah Breakthrough is actually a whole lot better than I thought it would be. They put alot of effort into this. I think you would love this game alot ..just for the weather elements involved and on the current and last level I am on now...there are some incredible fight scenes where you have to fend of a million germans inside a deserted house and then another down the road also...just plain nuts.

You get to ride some tanks and a jeep vehicle that shoots machine gun and cannons both....plus I think it was ten times better than the second one Spearhead. They also have a good mutiplayer for this also.

Probably can get it real cheap around $20-30.00 or so depending.

I Highly recommend it.

i Wish they would hurry up and put out Pacific Assault soon, as that covers the Pearl Harbor attack and surrounding battles...

i didn't like COD at all... I felt like i was playing a lesser version of MOHAA and there is no way this game should have gotten game of the year... waste of money
