Doom one and two one one of the very first computer games I played in the new era of computers and I spent literally hours at a time playing it.

Since then the game engines and graphics have evolved to such a state as to be unbelievable at times.
I just hope the game lives up to all the hype and still incorporates some of the same feel as the original...but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see this game as somewhat of an original..even though it carries the Doom name.

My pre-take on this is that I think some pepole will love this game no matter what, just for all the hype built up around it.Others may not find this game to meet up to their tastes or liking as much as a HL 2.
One thing is certain though..the game will scare the jeezits out of alot of people, and thats always a good thing.

Alot of players will look to this game as one of the first to test their new graphics cards ( 800XT or 6800 Ultra for example ),as well as the ATI vs Nvidia benchmarks an playability.
