OLD DOS GAMES IN WINXP

HELP lol ok heres tha thing i just got a one of my older games back call conquest of the new world and it loads up to the main page fine but when it goes to the map and units it just quits i'm running xp and tried compatly mode and all that **** any one help plz i love this old game

try using dosbox

If that still fails, it might be the same reason final liberation was failing runnign in 2k/XP, it would run fine even normally, but would quit out when movies were supposed to play. This was because it was using what basically what an old forerunner to bink, which would be a separate process and not be XP compatible. Finding a way to disable movies could help.

But I'd try dosbox first.
