I just finished assebling a computer for a friend with the AT form factor motherboard. There are a set of pins devoted to a ps/2 connector but I dont have a ps/2 port/cable. Any idea where to find one (prefeably for not too much)? It is 5 pins in a single row and so far I have only found ports for sale that are dual-row.

FYI: the motherboard is a QDI Advance II

boy, that's an old board - be sure to avoid spending too much on anything you try but I'm confused - doesn't that board have a USB port - w98 and better wil suit you just fine and will install with the right switches

have you tried that - their manual says the pins may not line up with a typical USB cable (weird) but you have one and/or look at the mobo manual - it gives you the specs?

good luck

It has pins for a USB port as well, but I don't have the cable/port for that either. Any idea where to pick that up?

I'm also not sure what you meant about w98 or better being fine: I'm looking to do a physical install of a mouse port, not software.

it's easier to find an AT type of Keyboard than finding a PS/2 cable for that Old mobo :t
