ok i really like the nf7-s but i am at a budget problem with my video card. Now a local cyber cafe uses shuttles sff's and the one with built in mx440 and it runs farcry so would it be a good idea for me to get that mobo and the mobile 2500 with a zalman cooler and artic silver 5 or 6 (whichever is out) and then save up for my 207$ radeon 9800pro because i want this comp before the summer is up and i can live if the games run at 50 fps
I mean the current pc has a geforce4 ti 4200 with a 1.3ghz durron! and 400some mb of ram so anything is better!!!!

I highly doubt that any onboard video is gonna get you 50fps in far cry. That Ti4200 will blow any onboard video away. So get the NF7-S and transfer your Ti over to it until you can afford the 9800pro. What zalman cooler are you looking at for your mobile?

thers prob with transfering the 4200 this comp that im buiding is for me and that other one is the houses. Do you know were i can get a ti4200 now a days (that one cost 170 when we bought it so how cheap do you think i could find it. (also the only other vid card i got sitting around is a voodoo3
the zalman is this one http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=35-118-109&depa=0
also the 2500 mobile is only a 266 fsb! is it worth it or should just graba 2600+
what vid card do you recomend for the time being (will the mx440 onboard suffice? or can you recomend a cheap replacment for the time being ( i dont want to pay very much)
I never siad they got 50fps on far cry but it runs a hel of a lot faster than my 4200 (mainy because it working with a 1.3 ghz chip. when i tried to oc (the board sucks) i got 90 more mhz and that improved ghaphics proformance fps in the joint opps closed beta)

The mobile 2400, 2500 and 2600 are all 266 fsb. Take a look at this hs and fan. Probably one of the best setups you can get for the 40 dollar range. Most likely cost you about 35 after shipping. Thermalright SLK-947U (http://svc.com/thslsoco.html) and the Thermaltake Smart Case Fan II (http://svc.com/thersmarcasf.html).
I'm not sure if that voodoo3 card will work. Is it a 1 or 2x card? If so it won't work. What would be your price range for a temp card? The old computer doesn't have onboard vid?
I just noticed that the NF7-M has the cheaper onboard sound and only supports up to a 333 fsb. Not sure if that would affect oc'in at all. It also doesn't have firewire or sata support (for future upgrades).

Maybe something like this. Chaintech FX5200 128 bit 128MB (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-055&depa=1). Did you take a look at that hs and fan? Svc is a good retailer, I've bought a few things there.

You could go for a 9600 SE for $70:

OK, so it's a crippled 9600, but it still outperforms the FX 5200.

Yeah, I never thought I'd recomend a FX5200. But the price range is limited. You think that 9600SE is faster even though it only has 64 bit memory? Their's a couple of 9600SE cards in his price range new. What about a FX5500? I haven't heard anything about them, didn't even know there was such a thing (can't be a good thing). Here ya go, Ti 4200 128MB $59.85 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-031R&type=Refurbish). Even better, Ti 4600 128MB $78 bucks (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-133-014R&type=Refurbish).

Yeah, a 9600 SE will out-do a 5200 despite the 64 bit bus - besides, a lot of FX 5200s are 64 bit too, it's a bit of a gamble which you get sometimes. Great find on that 4600 though, I wish there were prices like that here :(

ok heres what i've found for temp cards
a 9600se by powercooler (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-131-405&depa=1)
and a fx5200 by chaintek (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-042&depa=1)
i like them both but what would run faster (im gona guese the 9600se because it has openGL 2.0)
Edit: what about a sapphire 9600 with 256mb or vram here (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-295&depa=1)
and i guese i could wing it there but im also guesing that that is a full step up from thoes others
also are refurbished cards ok because i could get that card for 30$ less if i get a refurb (and i throw ayaw driver cds any way)

I believe refurb cards come with a full warranty. You could call newegg and find out. They're usually cards that noobs and what not bought but wouldn't go in their mb (1-2x), or they returned them thinking it was the problem when their mb wouldn't post. Ummmm..... no video, must be a bad card. I think fishy or someone else will fill me in here if I'm wrong. I think a Ti4600 will be faster than a Ati 9600SE. It will have more horsepower, just not direct x9. I don't think you would be able to use much of the eye candy on an Ati 9600SE anyway, especially with farcry. That Ti4600 I listed is gone, but there is another one if you’re interested.
