When I try to boot my P90 w/40MB RAM on a Premiere/PCI II motherboard with an 8MB Permedia 2 PCI reference card I get no video, just 3 beeps. Can anyone help me?
P.S. I had a Diamond Stealth 64 DRAM PCI card before the Permedia.
Hi,
Did your PC work OK with the Diamond Stealth video card ?
If yes, you may need to update the motherboard bios.
Also, make sure that the card is fully inserted in the PCI slot.

Yes my PC worked fine with the Diamond Card. But my Bios is updated to the latest version.
Hi,
Have you tried inserting the Permedia in another PCI slot ?
Have you tested the Permedia in another PC (maybe the card is faulty) ?
The 3 beeps you hear when you boot up your PC: is that 1 long then 2 shorts ?

what bios are you running? Three beeps generally means a memory error. Try putting the memory in different banks or if you can try different memory. Try EDO vs Fast paced ram and see what happens. It could also be the video card as the other people have posted. Try different slots and make sure that it is inserted all the way.
