Hi I'm just wondering how the whole changing FSB thing works. Is it mostly done through mobo jumpers or bios? Is it even possible to change it to 166 w/o special tools if the board max is 133? Also how would one change the fsb by like 1 mhz? I've read about these things being done, but never how they were done. And finally, how would a board with 133 fsb (like the epox 8k7a) react if I did somehow set the fsb to 166 as far as agp and pci slots go? Thanks!

1. Mostly through the bios. As for jumpers, depends on the board. Most newer boards are jumperless. 2. Yes, but depends on the board and chip used. The bios in some boards don't allow you to oc much if any. 3. Bios. There is also some software that can do it, but not recommended. 4. Doubt you're gonna get 166 out of a board that maxes out at 133. Also depends on the chip in question. Most likely gonna throw the agp\pci bus way outta spec. Pci bus doesn't like to play ball around 37\38MHz. I used to have a board that maxed out at 166, but got it to 184. Anything higher and it was a no go. FYI: With AMD chips, they run better when the ram is at the same speed as the fsb. Example: fsb 166\333, ram ddr2700.
