 I have had a home network set up for nearly 3-4 months now between my computer and the family computer and its a basic pc to pc LAN. It works fine and I can access the internet but I am unable to share files over the network. Anyone got any suggestions and I can give detailed specs if asked for.

please look at the "best of networking" sticky.
do you have both systems in the same workgroup? are you using the same usernames and passwords? did you share any folders?
