Hey, i am having some problems with setting up the network in my new house. My ISP is Road runner and my phone provider is Vonage, and its running through my cable modem. Earlier i got everything running with the network set up in the order of cable modem->vonage phone adapter->Linksys 4 port router->computer. However, although i was able to connect to the internet and all, when i tried to forward some ports on the Linksys the way ive typically done, none of my settings would work. It was then i realized that the Vonage adapter was acting as a router of sorts, connecting to the cable modem and then sending the signal to my linksys 4 port router. Sure enough when i checked the Status page on the router showed that it was connected to the IP of the Vonage adapter. Still with me here? Anyway i figured that i could eliminate this conflict by just using a Linksys Switch in place of the 4 port router i had been using. Once i swapped out the router for the switch and had everything hooked up, i checked to see if i could connect to the Vonage adapter settings page the way i would normally connect to the Linksys settings page and it gave me the 404 URL not found error :(. I tried different methods, such as using a crossover cable from the Vonage Adapter to port 1 on the Switch, but that still didnt do it. Right now i reverted back to my Cable Modem>Linksys Router>Computer and i need to know if theres something wrong with the setup. Heres a diagram if it helps those who are confused...

I've seen that already. I just want to know if the setup i have will work. Im going to try to reset the Vonage adapter settings and see if that will do it...

Why don't you put the vonage box in after the router, and just port forward its ports to the ip address that you give it.

If I recall correctly, this setup should work with the Vonage system.
