I spend most of my time reading and searching Google just to get a grip on what you guys are discussing. I've noticed recommendations for AVG. Is this preferable to Avast, Norton, or any others? :)

Norton probably has the most manpower and will get solutions out quicker, but AVG is pretty darn good for free.

I've been using Avast since my Norton trial period ended, but I'll check out the other two.

Thanks for the info.

Trend Micro PC-cillin is a good AV. Comes with a firewall.

AntiVir rocks because it nags the user to update in case they forget. Another great feature is that it scans for malware, spyware, adware, dialers and quasi-trojans too.

I prefer NOD32, it is the best AV software in my opinion you can get it at www.nod32.com.au
