I'm just wondering if M$ will make Win2k in a 64 bit version? The reason I ask is I am considering building an Athlon 64 machine and I hate XP in any form. Anyone hear anything like this?:t

Doubt it's going to happen.

There will not be a win2k 64-bit version. Development is focused on XP and Longhorn now. Mainstream support for Win2k will end in March 2005.

Oh...c'mon now, Leppe...

Just use the Classic Style...and close your eyes...it's all the same..

:D

I hear ya...took a little while to get me peeled away from W2K...but, in the end, I feel XP is worth it....

Especially for beginners who just plug stuff in, it is by far the best plug and play OS!

Maybe you need to look into Linux:

On one hand, I agree with you, on the other...you know as well as I, there are a lot of W2K and 98 users out there that have the single license OS installed on the whole family tree's PC...similar to Symantec products before their 2004 lineup.

If you're gonna use the Internet...you're always going to give up a portion of your privacy...

But...I think the good of the OS is better than the bad of it...

Just my .02, Lep!!

You might as well get started now because Microsoft has no intention of letting you keep your privacy.
