Help setting up FTP with cuteftp and router.

Hi all,

Okay don't laugh, I've never done this before! I've read the guidelines with cuteftp and still can't get this right, so if anyone can give me a few steps guide I'd appreciate it greatly.

Okay, I want to setup an FTP from my hard drive so my mate can download directly from me over night, but I don't understand how.

I'm running XP pro, and a router with adsl coming through to 3 PCs on the network.

I'm not sure about forwarding the ports, or what to do at all... lol. I just want to be able to give him a user name, pass, and port to login to, and then get access to the drive I designate.

Anything I've missed info wise, don't hesitate to shout at me :D

Couldn't find a link for CuteFTP , but I had this one in my fav's and should help you out.

CuteFTP isn't a server, but a client only software. You'll need to be running a FTP server on your rig for him the use CuteFTP to D/L with .
