Ok, here is the deal, I have a phisical discs, one 4gig, one 3.5gig, this morning I booted up my computer and it showed 2 4gig discs and one 3.5 gig disc. They are partioned fat32, each, and when I delete files from one they do not delete from the other. Before my discs appeared as 2, one 4gig, 1 3.5 gig. Is it safe to format that second 4gig that showed up this morning? By the way, this happened after I compressed a disket to fat32 and shut down for 9 hours. Please help, you can reach me at lkummer1@tampabay.rr.com

My sugesstion would be GET RID OF THE COMPRESSION. Because the way it is designed is that the whole drive is seen as 1 file. Ever get a currupted zip file? Can yo say there goes my whole os? In all seriousness, you don't want to do this because it number one slows down your machine and number 2 is losing all of you information worth it?
Hope this helps out.
