Cyrix 5x86 Branch Prediction and Win 98

I have used Pete Moss's utility before to enable certain register bits (specifically branch prediction) on my cpu to get that little extra bit out of it. As noted in the description, this feature works fine in DOS, but is unstable for Win 95. I am thinking of upgrading to Win 98. Have the instabilities of enabling branch prediciton on the cyrix 5x86 been resolved with Win 98? Thank you in advance for your help.
