RedHat installation tree

Was trying to install RedHat from harddisk (FAT16) after I dump the whole CD onto C drive root (/hda1). When prompt for "what partition hold the RedHat/RPMS and RedHat/Base directory" I enter the Device as /dev/hda1/ and the directory as / , error appear "Device hda1 does not appear to contain a RedHat installation tree". Can anyone tell me what does it means and how-to?
Asked over at anandtech but no answer.

I've done the CD install went ok, and now trying out the harddisk install, here's where I got stuck.
